One Turn (“we”, “us”) is a free website, run by Jordan, that shows each day's world news on a 3D globe. By using it you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What One Turn is

One Turn collects headlines from many news outlets, groups them into stories and places each story on a globe. Story summaries, importance and tone ratings, the World Mood score and the economic brief are generated automatically by software and published without review by a person. They can be incomplete or wrong. One Turn is not a news organization, does not report news itself, and does not endorse any outlet's reporting. Always follow the links to the original reporting before relying on a story.

Nothing on One Turn is financial, investment, legal, medical or other professional advice. Market prices may be delayed or inaccurate and are shown for general information only.

Using the site

You may use One Turn for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, and you're welcome to share links to it. Please don't:

• copy, republish or sell the site's summaries or data in bulk, or use them to build a competing service, without our written permission;
• scrape or crawl the site in a way that puts a heavy load on it (ordinary search engine indexing is fine);
• try to break, probe or get around the site's security, or interfere with other people's use of it;
• use the site in any way that breaks the law.

Who owns what

Headlines, articles and images belong to their publishers. One Turn links to them and doesn't reproduce their articles. The site's own design, code, summaries and compilations belong to us. Some data comes from others under their own terms, credited in the site's About section: World Bank data (CC BY 4.0), NASA imagery, the US Geological Survey, GDACS, and Natural Earth.

If you believe something on One Turn infringes your copyright, email OneTurnNewsContact@protonmail.com with the page address, the work concerned and your contact details, and we'll look into it promptly.

Links to other sites

One Turn links to outlets and data sources we don't control. We aren't responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

The daily email

If you sign up for the daily email, you can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. The email is provided on the same basis as the site.

Accounts and paid features

One Turn doesn't have accounts or paid features today. If we add them, any extra terms (including prices, renewals, cancellations and refunds) will be shown to you before you sign up or pay.

No warranty

One Turn is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We may change, pause or stop any part of the site at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, One Turn or the sites it links to. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to US $50.

Children

One Turn is a general news site and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state and federal courts located in Maryland, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
